I ordered this product for my 16 year old Jack Russell Because we recently found out that he has a large tumour and also suffers from arthritis. The first night I gave him 1 treat as the bag indicated because he weighs around 30lbs (lil piggy I know). Anyways, after about 30 minutes we noticed that he seemed to be more relaxed and happy. He sat with us on the couch for an entire baseball game where he would normally prefer to go sleep on his bed and be alone. He seemed more perky yet relaxed and it made us happy to see him that way. I also found that these treats brought back his appetite a little more which is good too. He won’t eat the treat unless I break it up and hide it in wet dog food...I’m not sure if it’s the taste or the texture but I’m ok with that because they really seem to help him. They also don’t interfere with his other medications and I was given the ok from my vet to give him the cbd. Overall I think this product is great and would highly recommend it. I’m ordering 2 more bags now!
My little senior dog loves the salmon treats
I cannot rate the taste; I ordered the salmon treats for my dog, but they smelled like cinnamon to me; I can't imagine my dog was upset.
I bought these for my 13-15 year old miniature pinscher. He has a bad hip and for the past 2 months has been walking on three legs as he favours the back left leg as this is the hip that causes his issues.
I got these treats 2 days ago and will first say I'm very happy with the price/sixing comparison as these treats are bigger than the ones similarly shaped that we buy at the pet store.
His is a very small dog - no more than 8lbs. 1st dose I gave half a treat as the bag indicated; but I think this was too much for him. He just laid around and slept; fed him the treat at 8PM and around 3AM it wore off. I only know this as I noticed him get our of his bed, go to his food dish, get some water, use the pee pad, and seem more alert and aware of his surroundings.
As my intent is not to have him sleep through the pain; but rather help him manage it; on his 2nd dose I gave him 1/4 of a treat.
This was enough to help his leg as he was walking around on all 4 legs, he used his steps to go up the couch, he ran a little and seemed more active.
It's cold in my part of the world and I know it's harder for him in the cold; but I look forward to Spring and Summer where he can be active and enjoy longer walks with his family.
